She balances many roles and responsibilities while staying true to herself. Open to new experiences, she speaks her truth and knows that real change and strength come from within. Resilient and curious, she continually improves her life and positively impacts others. Most importantly, she loves herself.

My Transformative Journey

The Pivotal Moment

Back in 2013, I faced a crucial turning point in my life. As a single mother of two teenagers, working long hours in a stressful corporate environment, I received a breast cancer diagnosis. Despite the shock, I instinctively knew something was wrong. I made a deliberate choice to take charge and take action.

Believing in the Body's Innate Wisdom

I have always believed in the power of our heart, mind, and body’s innate ability to heal, as it naturally mends a cut. My body has supported me through the years, and now it’s time for me to reciprocate with the right attention and care. Drawing from my experience in systems improvement and process re-engineering, I realized it was my turn to start with a blank page, decide what I wanted, identify the gaps, and implement change.

Developing a Holistic Healing Strategy

Deep in my heart, I understood that healing wasn’t a one-dimensional approach as much as the Western system follows. For me, the answer wasn’t a pill, radiation, or chemotherapy; instead, it was a combination of several actions, so I decided to explore and learn more about it.

I asked myself why some women were healing and others weren’t, what they were doing or weren’t doing, and what their state of consciousness was.

So, I did extensive research. I looked at books, research papers, doctors around the world, women’s stories, body anatomy, medical rules, meetings, videos, certifications, meditations, and my inner wisdom. All this led me to a holistic approach. It’s about healing my whole self, not the disease.

I also understood that everybody is unique, and actions and results vary. In my case, my intuition, combined with my learning, guided me toward healing. This is what inspired me to create and share my holistic strategy for transformation: “The Shift And Rebirth: A Framework For Holistic Transformation™.”

Many years have passed and I’ve forged ahead, thriving in health and happiness.

The Power of "Why"

The key to my healing was a multidimensional approach, making changes across various aspects of my life. But the driving force was my “why”—my children. I wanted to keep caring for them, being with them through their ups and downs, and seeing them grow up, start families, and enjoy a healthy and purposeful life.

This powerful motivation elevated my awareness and consciousness, supporting the shifts I needed to make in my life.

Prioritizing Self-Care and Transformation

Despite the need to continue working, I prioritized self-care, waking close to 5 am for meditation, breathing, and movement, among other habits, to nurture my body, mind, and spirit. I’ve transformed my values and lifestyle, changing my diet overnight without complaint.

To help me stay committed to these changes, I created “My 12 Well-being Principles: A Personal Guide to Health and Happiness.” It’s a set of personal guidelines that reflected my new priorities and kept me accountable. These principles covered everything from daily self-care essentials to larger commitments to my health, growth, and well-being.

True change emerges when you discover your deepest “why” and nurture an unshakable belief in your power to heal and grow.

A New Career Path

Four years ago, I chose to help others. I did this by becoming an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and a Plant-Based Nutrition Coach. This completely changed my career. 

I’ve begun coaching everyone. Then, I found my passion. It was in supporting women like me. They were going through midlife. Women have untapped power and boundless potential to create and thrive in this stage of life.

Lessons from a Global Journey

My journey taught me more than the value of credentials and health triumphs. It’s shown me the power of embracing midlife as a time of great growth and opportunity.

I have lived across different countries and immersed myself in diverse cultures. I’ve seen firsthand the common challenges and dreams that unite women worldwide. These experiences have enriched my approach, allowing me to offer inclusive and resonant guidance.

Navigating Corporate Pressures and Motherhood

I’ve spent over two decades in corporate America. I’ve navigated the pressures and demands shaping women’s lives at work. 

Yet, as a mother of two incredible, now-grown children, my role has truly defined my understanding. It’s taught me about resilience, adaptability, and the transformative power of nurturing.

Through my journey, I’ve learned that we must focus on our well-being. This is true for working middle-aged women and is non-negotiable. 

In the face of endless responsibilities, it’s easy to put our own needs last, but this is a recipe for burnout, not sustainable success.

I make my well-being a top priority. I do this through practices like deep meditation, regular exercise, healthy eating, getting enough sleep, detoxing my environment and body, and stress management. These practices have been key to keeping my health, vitality, and longevity. 

It’s allowed me to be my best self in my career, my family life, and beyond.

Redefining Modern Midlife

This unique blend of life roles and experiences has crystallized my vision of well-being, underscoring that modern midlife is not a period of decline but a vibrant stage ripe for reinvention and empowerment. 

It’s a time when women can harness their accumulated wisdom, resilience, and strength to forge a life of balance, health, purpose, and fulfillment.

A Testament to Self-Healing

In October 2023, my commitment to self-healing was further tested following a bicycle accident that fractured my pelvis. Contrary to medical expectations of ~8 weeks to walk, my journey back to walking in just 28 days—fueled by my fitness level, overall health, and unwavering determination—reaffirmed my belief in the mind and body’s innate capacity for rapid healing and resilience.
